I am a Lecturer of Computer Science at NYU Abu Dhabi, and an affiliated faculty member at the NYU-KAIST Global Innovation and Research Institute. My research interests include Intelligent Transportation Systems, Mobile Web, and Human-Computer Interaction. In a rapidly evolving field that combines theory and practice, I adopt an inclusive, student-centered approach to undergraduate Computer Science instruction, placing students at the heart of the learning process.
I received my Ph.D. from the College of Information Technology at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) in 2015. I hold an MSc. in Informatics from the British University in Dubai in association with the University of Edinburgh (UK), and a BSc. in Computer Science from the UAEU. After receiving my PhD, I did my postdoctoral research at UAEU's Department of Computer and Network Engineering, contributing to various projects within the College of Information Technology and the Roadway, Transportation, and Traffic Safety Research Center. From December 2018 to August 2021, I continued my postdoctoral research in the Computer Science program at NYU Abu Dhabi.
